Research Community for Critical Society and Environment
Welcome to the website of the Research Community for Critical Society and Environment. This platform serves as a transdisciplinary forum for academicians, researchers, activists, and experts to engage in critical discourse on the complex interconnections between social systems and environmental processes, and to disseminate information on conferences, peer-reviewed scientific publications, and emerging research developments. Grounded in critical theory and systems thinking, our community examines socio-environmental issues through multiple analytical lenses—including political ecology, environmental justice, sustainability science, and socio-ecological systems frameworks—to understand the structural drivers of environmental degradation and social inequality.

Although it is still a small, emerging community, the Research Community for Critical Society and Environment is committed to advancing empirical research, theoretical innovation, and evidence-based advocacy that continually raise scholarly and public awareness of pressing socio-environmental challenges, particularly by publishing a journal—Crises on Languages and Literature—that prioritizes quality over quantity. The published journal is designed to integrate qualitative and quantitative methodologies to generate robust, context-sensitive knowledge that informs both academic discourse and practical interventions for sustainable and equitable development. We are open to membership and partnerships with global scholars, researchers, experts, activists, organizations, institutions, academic societies, civil society groups, and local communities.
